As a Co-Founder and Partner of Harvest Partners, Mr. Lee brings over 36 years of planning, construction and development experience to the Partnership. Starting in 1968 as the planner for the “Town Lake” portion of the Goals For Dallas initiative backed by the City of Dallas and the Dallas Chapter of the AIA, Mr. Lee’s experience spans four decades of Real Estate Development in Dallas and nationwide.
As a graduate of the Texas A&M School of Architecture and a Licensed Architect and Planner, Mr. Lee worked on many high profile planning projects in Dallas, including the Dallas North Tollway extension and Bent Tree Country Club. Design projects included office, retail and hospitality buildings that eventually led to an expansion into the general contracting business and the founding of LeeTex Construction, General Contractor. From 1977 until 1987 LeeTex Construction became the sixth largest general contracting firm in North Texas and was acquired by Turner Construction Company to serve as the Southwest Office of Turner Construction, a top ten general contractor worldwide. Mr. Lee served as the manager of the Turner Dallas office until an opportunity to utilize his design, planning and construction experience in the development of large commercial properties nationwide became available through an association with Mr. Barnett, a longtime friend and business associate.
Over the next ten years, this association developed large-scale retail, office and residential properties in Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, and other southeast and southwest states, leading ultimately to the formation of Harvest Partners in 2002. As the development partner responsible for the day to day activities of the design and construction portion of the development program, Mr. Lee works closely with a variety of national architects and contractors to create the quality in the development program at Harvest Partners expected by its many institutional investors.
Blaine and his wife Nelda reside in Dallas.
